(USA)Gunther Schuller has developed a versatile and outstanding musical career that ranges from conducting and composing to his extensive work as an educator, scholar, author, music publisher and producer. The author of The Compleat Conductor served from 1963 until 1984 as Head of the composition department at the Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood, where he was also the Music Director from 1970 until 1984. As an educator, he has also taught at Yale University and the Manhattan School of Music.

José Luis Castillo is one of the most noteworthy and active young conductors on the Panamerican musical scene. Composer and promoter of contemporary music, he has conducted numerous premieres in Mexico, as well as on the international scene. Lecturer on musical analysis in various conservatories worldwide, he is also Music Director of the Camerata de las Américas and Artistic Director of Instrumenta Oaxaca.
EMILY FREEMAN BROWN

Emily Freeman Brown is Music Director and Conductor of the Bowling Green Philharmonia and Opera Theater at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. The first woman to receive a doctorate in orchestral conducting at the Eastman School of Music, she has conducted numerous orchestras in the United States, Europe and South America. Conducting professor and author, she has served as President of the Conductors Guild (2003-2005).
NEIL THOMSON

Neil Thomson studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Tanglewood Music Centre. From 1992 to 2006, Head of Conducting at the Royal College of Music, the youngest-ever conductor to hold this post. Guest conductor with orchestras in Denmark, Lithuania, Italy, Mexico and Romania, as well with the major British orchestras. A renowned conducting professor, he has served as a jury member for the Maazel Conducting Competition.

Has won worldwide recognition as one of the most complete musicians of his generation. Throughout his impressive 32-year conducting career, he has lead more than 90 orchestras, recorded over 27 CDs and championed New Music, premiering well over 100 works. For his intense and relentless activity, he received the 2003 Musician of the Year Award from the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. He is the only Mexican conductor to have been nominated twice for a Latin Grammy Award and to have received two Golden Discs and a Platinum Disc. He currently serves as Artistic and Music Director of the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, and Artistic and Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Opera Division and the New Music Ensemble at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
